Just a stone’s throw from Lady Bird Lake and tucked into one of the city’s most adored neighborhoods, Sixth&Blanco stands as the first and only mixed-use concept of its caliber in Austin.

Designed by Pritzker award-winning Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, and curated and operated by renowned hospitality team MML, it is certain to become a landmark destination that joins world-class experiences, service, and design.

Known for their poetic modernism and place-making cultural projects including the Tate Modern in London and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg, this will be the studio’s first foray in Texas. Herzog & de Meuron will introduce an architecture vernacular that takes key ingredients from the site’s surrounding context and fills it with a continuous horizontal wooden structure that prominently features materials aligned with Austin’s historic fabric and unique sense of place.

With its tree-lined streets and nearby Clarksville neighborhood, filled with historic bungalows and public parks, the West Sixth corridor is one of Austin’s most desirable, walkable downtown destinations. The area is already a draw for its outstanding shops, galleries and restaurants.

Every extension of Sixth&Blanco has been thoroughly considered to the most discerning detail, culminating in an urban carpet of premier retail and restaurants on the first and second floors, a bespoke hotel on the third floor, and breathtaking homes on the fourth and fifth floors.
